Sending Messages

Sending messages with Google Assistant is a breeze. You can use voice commands to send voice messages to contacts through SMS or WhatsApp.

To start, you can say "Hi Google, send a voice message" or "Hi Google, send a WhatsApp voice message" to get the process rolling. The Assistant will then ask for the contact's name, phone number, and whether you want to send the message by SMS or WhatsApp.

You can also use variations of these commands, such as "Ok Google, send WhatsApp message by voice" or use words like "audio message" or "audio note" instead of "voice message". The Google Assistant will automatically stop recording the audio message as soon as you stop speaking.

To send WhatsApp messages using Google Assistant, you need to have Google Assistant enabled and be signed into a messaging app on your paired Android device. You can then use the voice command "Send a WhatsApp message to (Contact name)" to initiate the process.

Here are some key steps to keep in mind:

  • Speak the message you want to send to the contact.
  • Google Assistant will send the message to the contact.
  • You can tap on the "Open WhatsApp" option to check the message you have sent.

You can also use Google Assistant to send messages with other messenger apps, you just need to speak out your message afterward.
