Blue Link Agent is a connected car app developed by Hyundai that allows car owners to control their vehicles remotely. It integrates with Google Home, a Google Assistant-enabled voice-activated speaker.

The Blue Link Agent app enables users to send commands to their vehicle through Google Assistant on Google Home. This means you can control your car's features with just your voice.

Blue Link provides seamless connectivity into Hyundai cars, offering a range of convenient features. These include Remote Start along with Climate Control, Destination Search through Google, and Enhanced Roadside Assistance.

To access Blue Link Services, users can press buttons on the rearview mirror and center stack of their Hyundai car, or use the Web or their smartphone. Once linked to Google Home, users can send Remote Service Commands to their car after authenticating their Blue Link Personal Identification Number.

The Blue Link features that can be activated through Google Home include sending a destination to the navigation system, remote horn/lights, and start/stop charging of plug-in vehicles.

Hyundai Motor America Inc.'s Blue Link equipped vehicles will soon be compatible with Google Assistant voice commands.

This means users with a smartphone will be able to use voice commands to find restaurants, use the car's navigation system, ask about weather, traffic and more.

For example, users can ask their Google Assistant to find a high-end sushi restaurant, the address of which can then be sent to their car via Blue Link, or start their car with it set to a certain temperature.

This integration is part of Hyundai's efforts to make features like remote EV charge management, remote locking, temperature and remote start easier to use.

Hyundai Motor America sold 775,005 units in 2016, a 1.75 percent increase over 2015, even though December sales were down 1.9 percent.

Manish Mehrotra, director, digital business planning and connected operations, Hyundai Motor America, said, "Our customers are finding smart home integrations like the one we are showcasing with Google Home to be very useful and convenient."

Users will be able to access these features by simply saying "OK, Google" while sitting on the couch.

Hyundai Motor America's former CEO David Zuchowski is leaving the company.
