Dual messenger apps are a game-changer for Android users, allowing you to have multiple instances of the same messaging app running simultaneously.
This means you can use two different WhatsApp accounts, for example, or even have two separate Facebook Messenger accounts open at the same time.
Dual messenger apps are particularly useful for individuals who need to manage multiple personal and professional accounts, or for those who want to keep their personal and work-related conversations separate.
By using a dual messenger app, you can easily switch between accounts without having to log out and log back in, saving you time and effort.

Setting Up Dual Messenger App
Before setting up Dual Messenger, it's a good idea to create a secondary contacts list to add an extra layer of privacy to your main list.
This works by choosing which contacts from your primary contacts list you wish to share on the secondary list. You can select contacts one by one, or delete any from the list if you change your mind.
To do this, open up your Settings menu and select Advanced Features > Dual Messenger.
Under the “Contacts” section, make sure to select the slider next to the “Use Separate Contacts List” option.
Tap the option itself, then tap “Select Contacts” to enter your main contacts list.

Samsung Specific Features
Samsung phones have a feature called Dual Messenger, which allows you to create a copy of a messaging or social app.
To access this feature, go to Settings > Advanced features > Dual Messenger. You'll see a list of supported apps, including WhatsApp, Discord, Messenger, Snapchat, Facebook, Skype, Telegram, and more.
The feature is limited to these types of apps, so if you want to clone an app that's not on this list, you're out of luck. But for the supported apps, you can follow these steps to create a clone:
1. Go to Settings > Advanced features > Dual Messenger.
2. Toggle on the app you want to clone and tap Install.
3. Wait for the cloned app to be installed; once done, you'll see it appear under the Dual Messenger apps heading.
You can also limit the cloned app's access to your contacts by toggling on "Use separate contacts list" and selecting your desired contacts from the list.

If you want to uninstall a cloned app, just go to the same menu and toggle it off and hit Uninstall. If you've set up multiple cloned apps and want to delete all of them at once, tap the three-dots menu and select Delete all my data to wipe out all data from all the cloned apps.
To identify the cloned app, look for the orange badge on the app's icon. The cloned app will also display a Dual Messenger symbol on the lower-right side of its icon.

This is useful if you want the cloned app to only have access to your work contacts but not friends and family.
You can uninstall a cloned app anytime you want to delete all the data inside it. Just go to the same menu and toggle it off and hit Uninstall. If you've set up multiple cloned apps and want to delete all of them at once, tap the three-dots menu and select Delete all my data to wipe out all data from all the cloned apps.
