Getting a New Voice
You can get a new celebrity voice for Google Assistant by following a few simple steps. The first celebrity voice to be released was John Legend's, which went live on April 3, 2019.
To activate John Legend's voice, you can say "Hey Google, talk like a Legend" or go to Settings and switch to his voice. This will give you access to his voice, which can sing "Happy Birthday" to you, give you information about the weather, and answer some questions you ask.
You can also access John Legend's voice through the Google Assistant app, by opening the app, tapping the three dots, and then tapping Settings. From there, you can select John Legend's voice as your preferred voice.
John Legend's voice will be available on all devices that have Google Assistant, including smartphones, Google Home, and devices that run iOS. However, it's worth noting that the feature is only available in the United States as of now, and John Legend's voice only talks in English.

- Ask Google to turn on John Legend's voice by saying "Hey Google, talk like a Legend" or "Hey Google, make me a Legend".

Note that you can turn off the cameo voice from settings in the Google Assistant app if you want to switch back to the regular voice.
Google Assistant Features
You can now ask your Google Assistant to talk like John Legend, a Grammy-winning artist. Google has launched its first celebrity voice cameo with Legend's voice available on all devices with Google Assistant.
The Legend voice setting will also have him answer questions like "What are jazz hands?" and "Do you know Chrissy Teigen?" Legend has even recorded a tongue-in-cheek reference to his wife, Chrissy Teigen. You can access Legend's voice by saying "Hey Google, talk like a Legend" or by switching to his voice in the Settings.
Google Assistant's new feature is powered by WaveNet, a state-of-the-art speech synthesis model that creates more realistic voices. With WaveNet, Google was able to shorten studio time and capture the richness of Legend's voice.
The cameo feature is available for a limited time, so make the most of it while it lasts. You can access Legend's voice on your smartphone, Google Home, or devices that run iOS. Legend's voice will sing "Happy Birthday" to you, give you information about the weather, and answer some questions you ask of it.
