Our Wahrzeichen remains! The Förderverein "Funkturm Wilsdruff e.V." was founded on May 20, 2019.
The goal is to raise funds through donations and activities to preserve the mast as a technical monument for the public. They plan to set up a student radio, similar to the one in Cham, Bavaria, which has been very successful.
The Förderverein is working with great initiative to achieve the status of a monument again and ensure the preservation of this unique building.

Jürgen Juhrig, chairman of the Technikverein Wilsdruff e.V., congratulated Sabine Neumann on her election as chairwoman of the new association.
The association's founding members are united in their goal to preserve the tower as a technical monument for the public.
The idea to establish the association came from a recommendation by the district administrator of the Sächsische Schweiz district, Herr Geisler (CDU).
The association aims to raise funds through donations and activities to preserve the tower.
A student radio, modeled after the successful example in Cham, Bavaria, is planned as part of the preservation efforts.
