The iPad Notes app may have disappeared from your device, but don't worry, it's not gone for good.
If you're using iPadOS 13 or later, the Notes app has been replaced by the Files app, which can be accessed by tapping the "Files" icon on your home screen.
You can also use the Notes app on your iPhone or Mac to access your notes and sync them across all your devices.
However, if you're still unable to find the Notes app, it's possible that it's been moved to a different location on your iPad.

Troubleshooting Missing Notes
If your iPad Notes app has disappeared, don't worry, it's a relatively easy fix. Apple recommends checking your iCloud syncing settings to get your Notes back.
To do this, open the Settings app, then tap on your name at the top to access your Apple account settings. Choose "iCloud", then "Notes" and make sure that "Sync this iPhone/iPad" is toggled on. This should get your iCloud Notes syncing again.

Use Search to Find
Open Notes and tap the back icon until you see your list of notes.
If you don't see the Search bar, you might need to scroll to find it.
Make sure All Accounts is selected when searching, so Search will check all of your notes in each folder across your accounts, like an email account.
If you still can't find a note, you might have the note locked.
Fixing Missing Issues
If you're experiencing missing notes, don't worry, it's a relatively easy fix. Apple recommends checking your iCloud syncing settings to get your notes back.
To start, open the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad and tap on your name at the top to access your Apple account settings. From there, choose "iCloud" and then select "Notes" to check your syncing settings.
Make sure "Sync this iPhone/iPad" is toggled on, as this will ensure that your notes sync with iCloud. If your notes still don't appear, try restarting your device by pressing Volume Up, Volume Down, and then holding Power/Lock until you see the Apple logo on screen.
After your device has booted back up, return to Settings > your name > iCloud > Notes and confirm that Notes syncing is enabled. This should resolve the issue and your notes should sync from iCloud to your iPhone or iPad.
If you're using an Apple Vision Pro, the solution is the same, so try the above steps to get your notes back.

Restore Deleted Files on iOS and iPadOS
If you've deleted a note in the Notes app on your iPhone or iPad, don't panic - you have up to 30 days to undelete and restore it. If you wait longer than that, the note will be removed permanently.
To restore a deleted note, open the Notes app and tap on the back arrow button in the upper left corner to view the notes folders. Then, choose the "Recently Deleted" folder.
To undelete a note, tap on the "Edit" button in the Recently Deleted section, select the note(s) you want to restore, and tap the "Move To..." button. Choose the folder you want to move the deleted note back to, typically "Notes" on iCloud or on the device itself.
If the note is not found in the recently deleted section, it may be gone for good. The only other means of undoing a deleted note would be to restore the entire iPhone or iPad from a backup, assuming the backup was made prior to the note being deleted in the first place.
