You can leave a group conversation on your iPhone in two ways: by muting a chat or outright leaving it. Muting a chat keeps you in the conversation, but you no longer receive notifications about it.
To leave a group conversation, you need to have four or more participants in the chat. If your chat has three or fewer participants, you can't leave it, but you can mute the conversation to prevent notifications.

Block MMS Chats
To block MMS chats on an Android phone, you can follow the same steps as accessing options for controlling notifications.
On an Android phone with Google Messages, visit the MMS chat thread and tap either the name of the conversation or the names of the participants at the top to bring up the Group Details menu.
You won't see a Leave Group option like you did with an RCS thread, but you do get the same ability to tap Notifications to access controls for hiding the conversation.
To hide the conversation, you can select Don't show notifications at all, which will block MMS chats from appearing on your phone.

Mute on WhatsApp
You can mute a group on WhatsApp to temporarily stop receiving notifications. To do this, tap on the "Chats" tab and choose the group you want to mute.
When you open the group, tap on the three dots menu at the top and select "Mute Notifications". Then, choose the preferred duration for muting the notifications.

Tap the down arrow icon at the top of the group conversation to access the mute option.
By muting the group conversation, your phone won't be constantly going off every time someone responds.
