Saving Instagram Stories from others on your iPhone can be a bit tricky, but don't worry, we've got you covered. You can save others' Instagram Stories by using the "Save" button that appears at the bottom of the screen when you view a story.

To access this button, you need to have the story open and be in the viewing mode, not in the story list mode. This is a crucial distinction, as the "Save" button won't appear if you're in story list mode.

You can also save others' Instagram Stories by taking a screenshot, which will automatically save the story to your camera roll. However, be aware that taking a screenshot will also notify the story's owner that you've saved it.

Saving Instagram Stories

Saving Instagram Stories is a breeze, and I'm here to walk you through the different ways to do it. You can save your own stories or someone else's, and I'll cover both options.

If you want to save your own Instagram stories, you can do so before posting by downloading the active story. To save archived stories, tap the "More" option at the bottom right, and then you can save the story.

You can also use third-party apps to save your own stories or someone else's. These apps might have lower quality, but they get the job done.

One way to save someone else's Instagram story is by taking a screenshot. For still images, this is the easiest way to save a story. To take a clean screenshot, hold your finger or thumb on the screen until the story stops progressing.

If you're an iPhone user, you can save your own stories to your camera roll by clicking the three dots in the top right corner and selecting the download icon. You can also save all your stories in a single video to your camera roll using the "Save Story" option.

If you want to auto-save every story to your camera roll, you can turn on this feature from the story settings. To do this, access "Story Settings" by clicking "More" in the bottom right of your current story, then click "Story Settings." In the "Saving" section, toggle the "Save story to Camera Roll" option.

Here are the steps to auto-save every story to your camera roll:

  1. Access "Story Settings" by clicking "More" in the bottom right of your current story, then click "Story Settings."
  2. In "Story Settings", find the "Saving" section.
  3. Toggle the "Save story to Camera Roll" option.

If you're a jailbroken iPhone user, you can use the Social Downloader tweak to save Instagram Stories directly into your camera roll. This makes the process faster and more straightforward.

Using Third-Party Apps

Using third-party apps is a viable option for downloading others' Instagram stories to your iPhone. You can use apps like Reposter for Instagram, which saves stories in full resolution without a watermark, as long as the profile is public.

The Reposter app allows you to save stories from any public account to your iPhone Photos app in just a few taps. To use it, download and open the Reposter app, type in the account's username, and tap Find Stories. Then, tap the story you want to download and save it to your Camera Roll.

Using third-party apps can come with risks, but you can avoid exposing yourself to such risks by sticking to popular, trustworthy apps like Instory.

You can use the Reposter app to save Instagram stories in full resolution, without any watermark from any public account to your iPhone Photos app in just a few taps.

The Reposter app is a premium app by New Marketing Lab that lets you save Instagram stories from any public account to your iPhone Photos app. You can download and open the Reposter for Instagram app to get started.

To save a story using Reposter, type in the Instagram account's username whose story you want to save locally and tap Find Stories or the go key.

The story you wish to download will appear in the app, and you can tap it to proceed.

Tap the share button and choose Reposter on Instagram, which will automatically save the story to your iPhone's Camera Roll.

The story is then saved to your iPhone's Camera Roll, and you can access it by tapping the cross icon (X) to exit the screen and open the iPhone's Photos app.

The limitation of Reposter is that the profile of the user you're looking at has to be public, so you won't be able to see or save the stories from a private profile.

Using third-party apps is a great way to download Instagram stories to your iPhone. You can use apps like Reposter, Instory, and Social Downloader to save stories from public accounts.

These apps are available for download from the App Store, and they make it easy to save stories in just a few taps. For example, Reposter lets you save Instagram stories in full resolution, without any watermark, from any public account to your iPhone Photos app.

Some third-party apps may have limitations, such as only being able to download stories from public accounts. However, sticking to popular and trustworthy apps can help minimize risks to your Instagram account's security.

Here are a few popular third-party apps for downloading Instagram stories:

  • Reposter
  • Instory
  • Social Downloader

These apps can be a convenient way to save stories, especially if you want to access them later or share them with others. However, be mindful of the potential risks and limitations associated with using third-party apps.

Saving a Specific Story

You can save a specific story on Instagram by using the "Save" option. Click the "More" button in the bottom right corner of the story, then select "Save Photo/Video" or "Save Story" if you're an iPhone user.

To save a specific story, you can also click the three dots in the top right corner of the story and click on the download icon. This will download the story to your camera roll without the need to post it.

If you want to save a story without posting it, you can simply click the "Save Photo/Video" option when viewing your story.

Alternatively, you can also save a specific story by taking a screenshot. However, this method only works for still images and not for video stories.

To take a screenshot of a still image, hold your finger or thumb on the screen and take a screenshot. This will capture the image without the user interface elements.
