Zenprise and BYOD Security with Citrix is a powerful combination for businesses looking to secure their mobile devices.

Citrix and Zenprise partnered to provide a comprehensive mobile device management solution that includes BYOD security.

The partnership allows businesses to manage and secure both company-owned and personally-owned devices on their network.

This is a big deal for businesses with employees who bring their own devices to work, as it helps to reduce the risk of data breaches and other security threats.

Citrix Acquisition

Citrix acquired Zenprise, a leading innovator in mobile device management (MDM).

The acquisition will allow Citrix to expand the possibilities of its CloudGateway and Me@Work software packages.

Citrix is guided by the requests of enterprises implementing the BYOD strategy, where employees use their own mobile devices for work purposes.

The company wants to provide the same security level and controllability to these devices as to corporate systems.

Citrix will integrate Zenprise's solution with its Cloud Gateway and Me@Work solutions for managing mobile apps and data.

This combination will deliver a complete stack for enterprise mobility and give customers the option of on-premise or cloud solutions.

The acquisition was announced on December 6, 2012.

Zenprise's MDM product was positioned in the leaders quadrant for Mobile Device Management Software by Gartner earlier this year.

The company's slogan is "Putting mobile to work", and its success was validated by its position in the leaders quadrant.

Citrix intends to accelerate its ability to anticipate and exceed its customers' expectations for world-class enterprise mobility solutions.

Amit Pandey, Zenprise CEO, said that the company has been building on its secure device lifecycle management platform to help organizations secure and manage mobile apps and data.

Waheed Qureshi, Chairman and CTO of Zenprise, said that Citrix and Zenprise have each proven their ability to deliver leading offerings in a fast-paced market.

At least one MDM company in Gartner's Magic Quadrant will try to wrap up a company sale by December 31, 2012, according to MSPmentor.
