First infrastructure was small

This company started with a simple setup, which included a Common Folder with Compute Cloud and GitLab Managed Service for storing application and configuration repositories.

In the Env Folder, they had a Managed Kubernetes environment with GitLab Runner, GitLab Agent, and the application itself. Yandex Container Registry was used for storing and managing Docker images, and Managed PostgreSQL was used for storing application data.

The company was able to set up this infrastructure easily using the Yandex Cloud web interface, which is a great feature for small businesses.

Yandex Cloud complies with the ISO/IEC information security standard 27001:2013, ensuring a high level of security for its users.

The platform is also certified in accordance with the information security standard ISO/IEC 27017:2015 and the standard for the protection of personal data ISO/IEC 27018:2019, making it the first cloud platform in Russia and the CIS countries to achieve this.

Yandex Cloud's hardware base is located in the same data centers as Yandex's other services, but physically separated by hardware firewalls for added security.

Inside Yandex Cloud, a HIPS (Host-based Intrusion Prevention System) is used, and ACL (Access Control List) access control is applied at the top-of-rack switch level.

All virtual machines use the QEMU/KVM assembly with a minimum set of code and libraries, and all processes are launched under the control of AppArmor.

Yandex Cloud complies with the European Union's GDPR and ensures the level of protection of personal data according to Russian Federal Law No. 152 "On Personal Data" up to Security Level 1.

The platform also complies with the GOST R 57580 security standard established by the regulations of the Bank of Russia.

Yandex Cloud is the first public cloud in Russia to have confirmed compliance with the PCI DSS standard for all categories of services: IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and serverless computing.
