Setting up your Fios TV and remote control can seem overwhelming, but don't worry, we've got you covered. Fios TV is a great service, but getting started can be a bit tricky.

To begin, you'll need to activate your Fios TV service by going to the Verizon website and following the prompts. You'll need to have your account information and the activation code from your equipment ready.

Fios TV offers a range of channels and features, including HD and On Demand content. With Fios TV, you can also use the Verizon Fios Mobile App to stream your favorite shows and movies on the go.

To set up your remote control, simply follow the on-screen instructions or refer to your user manual. Make sure to pair the remote with your Fios TV equipment according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Equipment Compatibility

As you set up your Fios TV service, you'll want to make sure your equipment is compatible with the system. Our Fios TV equipment allows customers to access a dynamic Interactive Media Guide, an extensive On Demand library, Pay Per View, easy-to-use Parental Controls, and 100% digital programming.

To access all of these features, you'll need to use a Set Top Box or digital adapter. If you connect your TV directly to the Fios network without one, you may not be able to receive all of the content to which you subscribe.

Certain customer-owned equipment may be equipped with CableCARD technology or a built-in digital tuner, which will allow you to access Fios TV content without a Set Top Box or digital adapter. However, these devices won't give you access to key Fios TV features like the Interactive Media Guide, Pay Per View, and On Demand content, or Parental Controls.

Our equipment may not support certain features and functions on older customer-owned equipment. For example, you may not be able to view a program on one channel while simultaneously recording a program on another channel, or record two or more consecutive programs that appear on different channels.

Here are some examples of what might not work with older equipment:

  • Viewing a program on one channel while recording a program on another channel
  • Recording two or more consecutive programs that appear on different channels
  • Using advanced display features, such as “Picture-in- Picture”
