You can also select numbers and addresses that contacts can use to send messages to you. In the You can be reached for messages at section, put a checkmark next to any phone number or email address you’d like to use.

To turn read receipts on or off, check or uncheck the box next to Send read receipts. This will determine whether others see when you open their iMessages.

You can also select a number or address under Start new conversations from. This determines which number or address people see when you message them.
