Setting up your web camera on Windows 11 can be a bit tricky, but don't worry, it's easier than you think.

First, make sure your camera is properly connected to your computer. If you're using a USB camera, plug it in and wait for Windows to recognize it. This should only take a few seconds.

To access your camera settings, go to the Start menu and type "Camera" in the search bar. Click on the "Camera" app to open it. From there, you can adjust your camera's settings to suit your needs.

Most web cameras have a built-in microphone, but if yours doesn't, you'll need to connect an external one. This is usually done via a separate USB port.

Using Specific Cameras and Apps

Some webcams, like the Logitech 930c, may not allow for settings adjustments on Mac, but there's an app that can help.

If you're using a Logitech 930c webcam for Zoom calls on a Mac, this app can store presets for different lighting conditions, such as natural ambient light and pro lighting.

You can also create manual presets for extreme lighting conditions, like in an office with poor lighting, and get a great looking video feed for Zoom calls.

For those who prefer a simpler approach, Windows 11's built-in Camera utility offers customization options for a handful of webcam settings.

The options include Resolution, Time-lapse, Frame Grid, and more, which can be accessed by clicking on the Settings icon in the Camera app.

Additionally, enabling the Pro Mode toggle allows access to the Timer and Brightness slider in the Camera app.

Using the Logitech 930c with Zoom is a great combination, and this app makes it even better. The Logitech 930c webcam doesn't allow for any settings on Mac, but this app fills that gap.

This app does the job perfectly, including storing presets. I have some video lighting set up in my office and I can switch with one click between the perfectly tuned setting between natural ambient light and pro lighting.

The Logitech 930c camera can struggle with extreme lighting conditions, but this app helps by allowing you to create manual presets for each scenario. This results in a great looking video feed for Zoom calls even with ambient office light only.

If you have poor lighting conditions in your home or office for video calls, this app may be just what you need. With at least a halfway decent webcam, this app can save you the cost of getting additional lighting.
