To show Google Form results in a clear format, you can use the Google Sheets add-on. This add-on allows you to automatically collect form responses and display them in a spreadsheet.

First, you need to connect your Google Form to a Google Sheet. This can be done by going to the Responses tab in your Google Form, clicking on the three dots, and selecting "Get responses in a spreadsheet." This will create a new Google Sheet that will collect all your form responses.

The Google Sheets add-on also allows you to create custom charts and tables to display your form results. For example, you can use the "Conditional formatting" feature to highlight specific responses or create a bar chart to show the frequency of different answers.

By using the Google Sheets add-on, you can easily view and analyze your form results in a clear and organized format.

Viewing Options

You can view Google Form responses in a few different ways. The first option is to click the "Responses" tab beside the "Questions" tab, where you'll see the number of responses you've received.

To view responses in a spreadsheet format, you can simply click the "Responses" tab. This will give you a detailed view of all the responses, including scores and answers.

If you're not a fan of spreadsheets, you can also view responses within Google Forms. This feature allows you to organize data in different ways, such as the Summary View, Question View, or Individual View.

The Summary View gives you a quick overview of all the responses, while the Question View shows you how each question was answered. The Individual View, on the other hand, allows you to see each response in detail.

To view responses in Google Forms, you don't need to use a spreadsheet at all. Just click the "Responses" tab and you'll be able to see all the responses in a format that works for you.

You can also view Google Form responses in other places, such as the Google Forms Responses tab or in a Google Sheet if you've set up a destination folder.

Here are the different ways you can view Google Form responses:

Formatting and Display

You can view Google Form responses in a spreadsheet format by clicking the green button at the top of your "Responses" tab. This will list each student's score first, followed by their answers.

This is an easy way to see responses and scores, especially for self-grading Google Forms. You can even send a copy of this spreadsheet to support staff who work with your students.

By completing the form yourself first with all the right answers, you can use the resulting spreadsheet as an answer key to compare students' answers. This can be a huge help when grading and reviewing responses.

Viewing in Format

You can view Google Form responses in a spreadsheet format, which is a great way to see all the answers and scores in one place. This format is especially useful if you're looking to compare student answers to a key.

To view responses in a spreadsheet format, click the "Responses" tab and then click the green button at the top of the tab. This will open a Google spreadsheet with every student's responses.

The spreadsheet will list each student's score first, followed by their answers. If you want to view your results in the Google Sheet, complete the form yourself first with all the right answers. Then, when you're looking at the sheet with all your students' answers, the answer key will be across the top and you can compare their answers to that row.

If you're not into spreadsheets, you can view responses within Google Forms instead. This feature organizes the data in different ways to help you make the best use of it.

Here are the different view options you can choose from:

  • Summary View: Get an overview of all the responses at once.
  • Question View: See how students answered each question individually.
  • Individual View: View each student's responses separately.

Prepare Your Data

To prepare your data, locate the column with the question you want to analyze in Google Sheets. Ensure all responses are in view.

Click on the column header to highlight all the data for that question. This will help you see everything at once.

Make sure the data doesn't include any irrelevant cells or titles. This will prevent any confusion in your analysis.

By default, Google Sheets will suggest a chart based on your data. However, you need to ensure it selects a Pie Chart.

To access Google Form results, you can simply click on the "Responses" tab in the Google Form editor. This will take you to a page where you can view and manage all the responses submitted to your form.

You can share your Google Form results with others by clicking on the "Share" button in the top right corner of the Responses page. This will generate a link that you can send to others, allowing them to view the results without having to log in to your Google account.

By default, Google Forms allows anyone with the link to view the results, but you can change this setting to require users to log in with a Google account before viewing the results.

Go to Tab

To access the responses you've received, you'll need to go to the "Responses" tab.

Click on the 'Responses' tab to view all the submissions you've received.

The number of received responses will be displayed next to the “Responses” tab.

To view the responses, toggle to the “Responses” tab from the Questions tab.

Using Form Publisher is a great way to share Google Form submissions with others. It generates a document every time a response is submitted, making it easy to keep track of responses.

You can customize the template to your liking and add specific recipients to receive the response documents. This makes it a convenient option for sharing information with others.

Form Publisher can send response documents to individuals as soon as a new submission is made, keeping everyone up-to-date.

Click on the green spreadsheet icon labeled "View in Sheets" at the top right of the Responses section to link your form to Google Sheets.

If you're linking to Sheets for the first time, a prompt will ask you to create a new spreadsheet or select an existing one.

Choose "Create new spreadsheet" to open a new sheet in a separate tab.

The sheet will open in a few seconds in a new tab, ready for you to use.

How to Download

To download Google Form responses, you can go to Google Sheets and choose File > Download. You can select between Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) or Comma-separated values (.csv) formats.

If you're like me, you might prefer the .xlsx format for its ease of use in Microsoft Excel. Downloading in .csv format can be useful if you need to import the data into another spreadsheet program.

Once you've chosen your format, you can click on the corresponding button to start the download process.

Viewing Results

You can view your Google Form results in a few different ways.

You can click the "Responses" tab beside the "Questions" tab to view the responses. The number shows you how many responses you have received for that Google Form assignment.

You can also view the responses within Google Forms, which organizes the data in a view different ways. This feature includes a Summary View, Question View, and Individual View.

The Summary View shows a graph that displays the average scores and frequently missed questions. You can also see each question and how many students responded with each answer, with percentages.

The Question View allows you to see the responses broken down by individual questions. This view is helpful for understanding patterns or issues related to specific questions.

The Individual View lets you view a respondent's individual form responses. You can use the arrow on the left-hand side to move through the received responses.

You can also view your responses in a Google Sheet by clicking the green button at the top of your "Responses" tab. This will open a Google spreadsheet that has every student's responses and scores.

Here are the three main sections of the Responses tab:

  • Summary: This gives you a quick overview of all the responses, displayed in graphs and charts based on the types of questions you've asked.
  • Question: This view allows you to see the responses broken down by individual questions.
  • Individual: This view lets you view a respondent's individual form responses.
