You can receive text messages from any local number in your account, and all messages are stored in a single inbox that can be filtered by phone number.

Receiving messages is a breeze with NumberBarn. All local numbers in your account can receive SMS, and you'll get a notification when someone texts you in Teams. You can view the chat by selecting the notification.

To use SMS, you must have a valid, SMS-enabled phone number in your Teams profile. If you don't have a phone number in Teams, or if your phone number isn't SMS-enabled, reach out to your Teams admin.
Messages are grouped into conversations, making it easy to see all the messages from a single contact. You can even add nicknames to numbers for easy identification.

New Message
To start a new conversation, you can find the "New Message" option in the Messages tab within Phone Link.
To send a new text message, click on New Message to start a new conversation with any of your contacts. You can then enter the name or phone number of your contact to look up someone in your list.

To select the contacts you wish to message, choose from your list of contacts. A new thread will open where you can type your message.
To enter the phone number of the person you want to text, simply select New message from your list of chats and enter the phone number in the compose box.
You can send messages to one person at a time, and your message will be sent as a text message to the person's phone.

Your account is linked to your phone number, and you can view your account details in the app settings.

Typically, you get a certain number of texts per month, and going over that limit can result in extra charges.
For example, if your plan offers 500 texts per month and you send 600 texts, you'll be charged for the excess.

Manage SMS
