The Oppo Find X7 has an outstanding display, thanks to its 10-bit HDR10+ capable screen that can project up to 1 billion colors. This is an LTPO AMOLED panel that can adapt its refresh rate from 1 to 120Hz.

The Find X7 Ultra's display is even more impressive, with a maximum brightness of 4,500 nits, although you'll typically get around 1,600 nits in regular use and up to 2,600 nits with HDR content. The panel is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus 2.

The display is plenty bright, even outside in direct sunlight, and the touch response is great, feeling extremely responsive and snappy to pick up inputs. The high refresh rate ensures everything runs smoothly.

You can easily get over a day's worth of use consistently, with some users even reporting over 8 hours of screen-on-time on a daily basis.

However, the battery life may not be as long as some other phones, like the Honor Magic 6 Pro with its 5600mAh unit.

On the bright side, the Oppo Find X7 Ultra's battery can be fully charged in under 30 minutes, thanks to its 120W charging tech and included adapter.

In fact, it takes just over 26 minutes to reach 100% capacity, which is incredibly fast.

Wireless charging is also available at 50W, and you even get reverse wireless charging at 5W for charging up your wireless earbuds or other devices.

The Oppo Find X7 runs on ColorOS 14, which is based on Android 14. This operating system is very similar to OnePlus' OxygenOS.

ColorOS 14 is actually really great overall, and you can choose what you want to install when you set up the phone. This means you can avoid the vast majority of Chinese apps and services from the get-go.

You can install the Google Play Store manually if it's not already installed, and then install apps you want from there. However, the Chinese version of ColorOS has a limitation for background push services.

The Oppo Find X7 Ultra received a new update in January 2025, which delivered the latest Android security patch and some other changes. This update added a Touch to share feature that supports iOS devices for easier sharing of photos and files.
