One Hungary is a political movement in Hungary that aims to promote national unity and cooperation. It was founded in 2018 by a group of intellectuals and politicians who shared a common vision for a stronger and more united Hungary.
The movement's key figure, Péter Márki-Zay, has been a vocal advocate for Hungarian interests and a critic of the current government's policies. He has proposed a number of reforms aimed at reducing corruption and improving the country's economic prospects.
One Hungary's platform is built around several key principles, including the promotion of Hungarian culture and language, the protection of the country's sovereignty, and the creation of a more equal and just society. These principles are reflected in the movement's slogan, "Hungary for Hungarians."

International and EU
One Hungary offers a range of international and EU roaming options that can save you money when traveling abroad.
You can call and send SMS to Hungarian and EU phone numbers at your local rates with the One EU Roaming option. This option is free and optional, but it has some conditions you need to meet.
To use the One EU Roaming option, you need to spend more days on the Hungarian network than abroad and use your subscription more in Hungary than abroad. If you miss either of these conditions in four consecutive months, the option will be cancelled from your subscription.
Here are the key conditions for using the One EU Roaming option:
- Location: spend more days on Hungarian network than abroad
- Proportional usage: use your subscription more in Hungary than abroad
International Calls
Making international calls can be a bit tricky, but don't worry, I've got you covered. If you've purchased your phone from One Hungary, the settings for roaming and international calls are already set up, you just need to choose the right profile.
You can also set the browsing profile manually, which requires typing in a specific command.

EU Roaming
EU Roaming is a great option for those who travel within the EU. It's a free and optional roaming feature that allows you to call and send SMS to Hungarian and EU phone numbers at your local rates.
To be eligible for One EU Roaming, you need to spend more days on the Hungarian network than abroad. This is a crucial condition, as it ensures that you're using your subscription primarily in Hungary.
You also need to use your subscription more in Hungary than abroad, including outgoing calls, SMS, and internet usage. This proportional usage rule is in place to prevent abuse of the service.
Suggestion: Telecommunications in Hungary
If you meet these conditions, you can enjoy calling Hungarian and EU numbers at your local rates, and use your domestic data allowance on partner networks in the EU. Just remember that calls to countries outside the EU are charged at international call rates.
Here are the two conditions for using One EU Roaming:
- Location: you have to spend more days on Hungarian network than abroad
- Proportional usage: you have to use your subscription more in Hungary than abroad – outgoing calls, SMS, internet as well.
If you fail to meet either of these conditions for four consecutive months, the option will be cancelled from your subscription, and you won't be able to order it again for your phone number.

Vodafone and Store
Vodafone is gone, and One Hungary has taken its place.
The company has opened its first flagship store in Budapest, marking a historic moment in the Hungarian telecoms market.
Tamás Bányai, the CEO, said that their aim is to be the first choice among Hungarian telecom operators for residential and business subscribers.
The 135 shops of Vodafone and Digi will be merged, and the two brands will be phased out by mid-January.
Customers will find some packages under a different name, but the content and tariffs of the packages will be the same as the previous Vodafone and DIGI tariff packages.
The company is offering banded discounts to customers with multiple services, and has introduced new mobile subscriptions with unlimited data and talk for both residential and small business customers.
One Hungary is the only telecoms operator in Hungary to offer the full range of RTL+ Premium services in its packages at no extra cost.
