The Jonathan Majors trial is making headlines, and a key part of the story is the revealing text messages that have been made public.

Jonathan Majors allegedly sent a text message to his ex-girlfriend saying "I love you" and "I want to be with you", which contradicts his later claims of a consensual relationship.

Majors' defense team is likely to argue that these messages were just a normal part of a romantic relationship, but critics say they show a pattern of controlling behavior.

The text messages have also raised questions about Majors' claims of a "non-romantic" relationship with the woman, which he allegedly told her was "just a friendship."

Trial Evidence

Jonathan Majors threatened suicide during a September 2022 text exchange with ex-girlfriend Grace Jabbari, according to new evidence from his ongoing assault trial.

The text messages, which were made public by the Manhattan District Attorney's office, show Majors writing "I will probably [k]ill myself. It's not really contemplating any more …I'm a monster. A horrible man. Not capable of love. I am killing myself soon. I've already put things in motion."

Majors claimed that Jabbari hadn't shown him love that morning, prompting the threat of self-harm.

In another text message, Majors told Jabbari that she "has to be of a certain mindset" to be his partner, like Coretta Scott King was for Martin Luther King Jr. and Michelle Obama is for former president Barack Obama.

The DA mentioned in their opening statements that it was a case of a "cruel and manipulative pattern of abuse Majors displayed towards Jabbari even before the March 2023 incident in NYC that led to his arrest and this trial."

Majors also tried convincing Jabbari not to go to the hospital in September 2022, writing "They will ask you questions, and as I don't think you actually protect us, it could lead to an investigation even if you do lie and they suspect something."

Jabbari replied that she would tell the doctor she bumped her head if she went, and Majors seemed to be trying to manipulate her into hiding the truth.

He wrote in a text message that he's a "monster, a horrible man" and that he's "killing himself soon" after putting things in motion.

The messages seem to back up the allegations against Majors, with the DA describing a "cruel and manipulative pattern of abuse" Majors displayed towards Jabbari.

Majors also threatened suicide in another text message, stating "I will probably [k]ill myself" and that he's "already put things in motion."

Jonathan Majors' Lawyer Responds

Jonathan Majors' lawyer, Priya Chaudhry, has released text messages that she claims show the woman involved in the incident taking blame for the fight.

The messages, which have not been independently verified, were allegedly sent by the woman to Majors.

She wrote that she had told the police it was her fault for trying to grab Majors' phone.

Majors' lawyer claims that the woman also said she was angry that Majors had been arrested and that she had made clear that the charges did not have her blessing.

The woman allegedly wrote that she had injuries and that the two had a fight.

She also said that she had made it clear to the police that it was not an attack.

Majors' lawyer alleges that it was Majors who called 911 due to the woman's mental condition.

The police arrested Majors due to an NYPD protocol requiring arrest in certain circumstances.

The woman allegedly texted Majors saying "Please let me know you're okay when you get this" and "They assured me that you won't be charged".

She also wrote that she was sorry Majors was in this position and that she would make sure nothing happens about the incident.

Jonathan Majors Revealed at Trial

Jonathan Majors' text messages revealed at trial were pretty disturbing. He tried convincing his ex-girlfriend, Grace Jabbari, not to go to the hospital in September 2022, saying she could get in trouble if she didn't lie to the doctor.

The text messages show Majors being manipulative and controlling, even going so far as to say he's a "monster" and a "horrible man." He also threatened to kill himself, saying he's "already put things in motion."

Majors' messages to Jabbari were filled with anger and resentment, and he accused her of not showing him love. He even compared their relationship to that of famous couples like Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King.

The DA has described Majors' behavior as a "cruel and manipulative pattern of abuse" against Jabbari. The text messages and other evidence presented at trial seem to back up these allegations.
