With a jailbroken home screen, you can completely customize the layout and appearance to your liking. This is made possible by the ability to install third-party widgets and icon packs.
One of the most popular features of jailbroken home screens is the ability to add widgets, which can display a wide range of information, from weather forecasts to social media updates.
Customization Tweaks
Springtomize is a one-stop place to configure your dock, icons, lock screen, folders and much more. You can choose to resize icons, hide icon labels, hide dock background amongst a myriad of other settings.
Springtomize is not compatible with iOS 10.2 as of now, but the developer says that iOS 10.2 support is in the works and he plans to release a compatible version "very soon".
You can customize your lock screen with Springtomize, changing the time font or format of the clock. Apple wasn't particularly known to be a fan of widgets in iOS in the past but has been gradually pushing updates to improve widgets support in iOS.
No Slow Animations
No Slow Animations can give your iPhone a snappier feel, thanks to its ability to speed up the default animations that Apple ships with the iPhone.
This tweak is compatible with iOS 10.2 and is available for free on BigBoss.
You can adjust the animation speed to your liking, making it a great option for those who want a bit more control over their iPhone's performance.
Miscellaneous Customization Tweaks
Long time Jailbreak enthusiasts should be familiar with Springtomize, a one-stop place to configure your dock, icons, lock screen, folders and much more.
Springtomize allows you to resize icons, hide icon labels, hide dock background, and change the time font or format of the clock on the lock screen.
As of now, Springtomize is not compatible with iOS 10.2, but the developer says that iOS 10.2 support is in the works and he plans to release a compatible version “very soon”.
You can use Springtomize 3 on iOS 7/8/9, and we'll keep you in the loop when it's updated.
CleanHomeScreen is a tweak that removes home screen and lock screen elements to give you a completely minimalistic experience.
This tweak is automatically enabled, so as soon as your iPhone resprings, it removes the elements you don't need.
To customize CleanHomeScreen, open the Settings app, scroll down, and tap on "CleanHomeScreen" to further customize the tweak.
You can set the toggles to the off position for lock and home screen elements that you want make visible once again.
To implement the changes, hit "Respring" once you're satisfied.
Widget Management
Managing widgets on a jailbroken home screen can be a bit tricky, but it's actually quite simple once you get the hang of it.
You can customize the size and layout of your widgets by using the "Widget Manager" app, which is included with most jailbreaks. This allows you to resize and reposition widgets to fit your needs.
One thing to keep in mind is that some widgets may not be compatible with your jailbroken home screen, so you may need to search for alternative widgets that work with your setup.
Icon Restore
Icon Restore is a lifesaver for frequent Home Screen organizers. It allows you to save your layouts so you can easily revert back to them later.
If you spend a lot of time organizing your Home Screen, you'll appreciate the convenience of Icon Restore. It's especially useful for those who like to experiment with different layouts.
With Icon Restore, you can save your layouts with just a few taps. This means you can try out new arrangements without worrying about having to start from scratch if you don't like the result.
Icon Restore is a must-have for anyone who plays with the Home Screen a lot, especially on jailbroken iOS 15 or 16 devices.

Remove Widget Background
The Home Screen's widget system is getting more powerful, but it can also get in the way of your wallpaper.
You can now have even more larger widgets on your Home Screen, which can prevent you from seeing important details. The Remove Widget Background jailbreak tweak offers a simple solution to this problem.

It hides the background of various widgets on your Home Screen so that they blend into the background. This works with most, but not all, widget styles and types.
You can see more of your wallpaper if that's an important thing to you, and it's a great way to declutter your Home Screen.

Apex 2 Unique App Organization
Apex 2 is a hidden gem that organizes your apps in a unique way, similar to the hidden folders feature in Nova Launcher on Android.
It tucks away apps behind another app and reveals them with a gesture, which can greatly help reduce home screen clutter.
You can have a lot of apps, like games, tucked away behind a single app, and reveal all the games with a simple pull-up gesture on this app.
Apex 2 is compatible with iOS 7, 8, and 9, but it doesn't play well with iWidgets and Springtomize.
The developer is working to make it compatible with iOS 10 and plans to release it for free.

Repository Management
Adding a repository to your jailbroken device is a crucial step in installing tweaks like Atria. You can add the Chariz Repo to your package manager by following the steps outlined in the official instructions.
The Chariz Repo offers the Atria tweak, which provides a free Home Screen layout system for iOS add-ons. The latest version of Atria is updated to work with iOS 13 up to iOS 16.
Check this out: How to Add Safari App to Home Screen
To install Atria, open the Cydia app from the Home Screen and tap on the Sources tab, then select the Edit button. You can also quickly add the repository to your preferred package managers using the quick links provided at the top of the page.
For added convenience, you can install the tweak on iOS 15.0 – iOS 15.1.1 and manage your icon layout on Home Screen and Dock. However, respring doesn't work so use it from the XinaA15 app.
If you own an older device, you can also install Atria on Palera1n, which supports iOS 15.0 up to iOS 15.7.1.
Here are the steps to add the Chariz Repo to your package manager:
- Open the Cydia app from the Home Screen.
- Tap on the Sources tab, then select the Edit button.
- Add the following repository URL: https://repo.chariz.com/.
- Install Atria tweak from Chariz Repository.
- Respring the device to finish the installation.
- Configure the tweak through the Settings app.
Alternatively, you can install Dynastic's Repository to get CleanHomeScreen, which isn't natively available within Cydia or Sileo.
Themes and Wallpapers
If you're looking to personalize your jailbroken home screen, you'll want to explore the world of themes and wallpapers. The right theme can completely transform the look and feel of your iPhone.
For years, Winterboard has been the go-to tweak for theming your iPhone, but more and more users are adopting Anemone as their theme engine of choice. This powerful tool allows you to customize almost every aspect of your home screen.
Anemone is incredibly versatile, enabling you to configure your Dock's look, hide icon labels, or even disable the Dock altogether. You can also customize the Control Center and change your home screen icons, wallpapers, and more with the help of third-party themes available on Cydia.
A large number of Anemone themes are paid, so be prepared to shell out some cash. However, the results are well worth it – and you can even browse through dozens of fonts to apply to your device with the Anemone font source.
If you're looking for some inspiration, check out the r/iOSThemes community on Reddit, where you can discover some amazing themes.
