How to Turn Off Audio Text Messages on iPhone

If you're tired of your iPhone blasting out audio text messages, there's a simple solution. You can turn off audio text messages on your iPhone by going to Settings > Sounds & Haptics.

To access this setting, you'll need to navigate to the Settings app on your iPhone. From there, you'll find the Sounds & Haptics option, which controls various sounds and vibrations on your device.

To silence audio text messages, look for the "Text Tone" option within Sounds & Haptics. By default, this setting is set to "Default", but you can change it to "None" to turn off audio text messages.

Turning Off Voice Text Messaging

To turn off voice text messaging on your iPhone, you'll need to first disable all sounds associated with Messages.

Open the Settings app and go to Sounds & Haptics. Tap Text Tone to change the messaging sounds.

Choose None from the top of the list to disable the sound for all contacts. This will also disable the outgoing message sound, but incoming messages won't make a sound either.

To disable all sounds associated with Messages, tap Text Tone to open the interface for changing the messaging sounds.

The iPhone does not distinguish between the outgoing message sound and incoming message sound, so you'll need to disable all sounds first.

To open the tones menu, tap Sounds & Haptics in the Settings app.

Choose None from the top of the list to disable the sound for all contacts.

This will not disable vibrations, but it will disable the sound for all contacts.
