The feature that allows you to share photos with Family members automatically is called Shared Albums.

This feature is enabled by default, which means that your iPhone is set to share your photos with your Family members as soon as you take a new photo.

Understanding Shared Photos

By default, these photos are also visible in your main Camera Roll library. This means you can see all your shared photos whenever you open the Photos app.

You can easily adjust the settings to turn off the automatic saving of shared photos. This is a great option if you want to keep your Camera Roll library organized and clutter-free.

The "Shared with You" feature is customizable, so you can choose how you want to view these shared photos.

Disabling Shared Photos for a Contact

You can stop shared photos from a specific person from saving in your Photos app. To do this, open the Messages app and go to the chat of the person you want to disable.

Just turn off the toggle for "Show in Shared with You." This will prevent their photos from being saved in the Camera Roll, but you'll still receive them in iMessage.

You can repeat this process for other contacts who are flooding your Photos app with shared photos.

If you want to prevent others from adding photos to an album on your iPhone, you can customize the "Shared with You" feature on Apple devices. This feature automatically stores photos sent in the Messages app in a dedicated album, but you can turn it off.

To stop people from adding photos to an album on Google Photos, you'll need to disable the "Collaborate" option. You can find this setting by opening the Google Photos app, tapping "Collections" and then "Albums", and then tapping on the album you want to edit.

Here's how to disable the "Collaborate" option on Google Photos:

  1. Open the Google Photos app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Tap "Collections" and then "Albums" at the bottom.
  3. Open the album you want to edit.
  4. In the top right, tap "More Options."
  5. Turn off "Collaborate."

Keep in mind that disabling the "Collaborate" option will prevent everyone from adding photos to the album, but you can still find photos that others have added unless you remove them.
