Reacting to an email in Gmail is easier than you think. You can use Gmail's features to quickly respond to an email without having to type out a full response.
To start, make sure you're in the Gmail inbox where you want to react to an email. You can then use the "Reactions" feature to quickly express your thoughts on the email. This feature is available on both desktop and mobile devices.
Gmail offers six different reactions to choose from, including "Like", "Angry", "Sad", "Surprised", "Love", and "Caution".
Reacting to Emails
To react to an email in Gmail, you'll find the option to "add emoji reaction" below the message. This feature allows you to quickly respond to emails with emojis.
You can choose from a list of emojis, including a thumbs up, a sparkling heart, a party popper, a laughing face, praying hands, the classic smiley face, and more. The selected emoji will then show up at the bottom of the email.
The new emoji reactions are a handy alternative for emails that don't necessarily need a written reply. You can send up to 20 reactions to the same Gmail message.
However, there are some caveats. If you have a work or school account, you won't be able to send emoji reactions, and you'll receive each emoji as a separate email.

Gmail also doesn't allow you to send reactions if you're in BCC, the message is encrypted, or the sender has a custom reply-to address.
