Snap Map is a location-sharing feature that allows users to share their location with friends and see where they are on a map. It uses the phone's location services to pinpoint a user's location.
To use Snap Map, users need to enable location services on their phone and grant Snapchat permission to access their location. This allows Snapchat to display the user's location on the map.
Snap Map also allows users to share their location with friends for a specific amount of time, such as during a concert or at a party. Users can choose to share their location with friends for 4 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours.
The map view shows a user's friends' locations as purple dots, making it easy to see where they are and what they're up to.
