Hostinger CyberPanel is a free, open-source control panel that makes it easy to manage your website and server. It's a popular choice among web developers and hosting providers due to its user-friendly interface and robust features.

CyberPanel can be installed on a variety of operating systems, including CentOS, Ubuntu, and Debian. This flexibility makes it a great option for those who need to manage multiple servers or platforms.

To get started with Hostinger CyberPanel, you'll need to create a new server or provision an existing one. This can be done through Hostinger's control panel or by using a third-party tool like CyberPanel's installation script.

The installation process typically takes around 10-15 minutes to complete, depending on your server's specifications and network speed.

Download and Install

To download and install CyberPanel, you can use the official installation script, which will automatically download and unpack the installer package. This is the easiest way to set up CyberPanel.

The script can be run by simply executing a command. You can find the command in the official installation instructions.

Using the Hostinger VPS template is a more beginner-friendly option, as it's safer and less likely to result in errors. This method also eliminates the risk of running the wrong commands.

Here are the settings you'll encounter during the installation process, in chronological order:

  1. Select the web server you want to use – the free OpenLiteSpeed or paid LiteSpeed Enterprise. For the enterprise version, enter its license key or TRIAL if you want to use the limited-time demo.
  2. Choose whether you want to install CyberPanel's full service. If you only need the control panel, skip their setup by entering N.
  3. Select if you want to install the MySQL database management system remotely or not. Enter N to install the database locally on the same server as CyberPanel.
  4. Specify the CyberPanel version you want to set up. Hit Enter to install the latest release, which we recommend to avoid bugs and security issues.
  5. Set your CyberPanel password. You can choose three different ways to do so, but we recommend entering S to set one up manually.
  6. Choose whether you want to install the Memcached caching system. We recommend setting it up by entering Y.
  7. Decide if you want to install Redis for caching and in-memory database. Enter Y to proceed with the setup.
  8. Determine whether you want to install WatchDog kernel monitoring. Enter Y to set it up.

Pre-Installation

Before you start the installation process, it's essential to back up your VPS, as setting up a new template will wipe all your data. If you're using a new empty server, you can skip this step.

If you purchased Hostinger's CyberPanel hosting plan, our system should have automatically picked the CyberPanel template during onboarding. This means you can skip the installation process and directly access the control panel.

To confirm, here are the steps to take before installation:

  1. Back up your VPS.
  2. Check if you're using a new empty server.

This will save you from losing any critical data.

Account management is a crucial aspect of running a VPS and multiple websites. You can add multiple users to manage your VPS and websites with CyberPanel.

To create a new account, go to the CyberPanel’s sidebar, then Main, then Users, and finally Create New User. You'll need to enter the new account owner's information, including their first and last name, email, and access control list (ACL).

The new account will also have a website limit, which determines the maximum number of websites they can manage. You can set this limit to control how many websites each user can access and manage.

Here's a summary of the information you need to create a new user:

  • First and Last name – the account owner’s real name.
  • Email – the account owner’s mailbox address.
  • Access control list (ACL) – the role and permissions of the new account.
  • Website limit – the maximum number of websites the account can make.
  • Security level – the rule determining whether the user can keep their login session using different IPs.
