Backing up your Google Photo Album Archive is a crucial step to ensure your memories are safe. Google Photos allows you to create a backup of your entire photo library.
You can create a backup of your Google Photo Album Archive in two ways: manually or automatically. To do it manually, go to the Google Photos settings and select "Back up & sync." Here, you can choose to back up your photos to Google Drive or Google Cloud Storage.
Automatic backups can be set up to run daily, weekly, or monthly, depending on your preference. To set up automatic backups, go to the Google Photos settings and select "Back up & sync." Then, toggle the switch to enable automatic backups.
Google Photos also offers a feature called "Backup & sync" that allows you to back up your photos to Google Drive or Google Cloud Storage. This feature can be accessed by going to the Google Photos settings and selecting "Back up & sync."

What is Google Photo Archive?

Google Photo Archive is essentially the same as Google Album Archive. It's a repository for photos and videos that you've shared on older Google services like Google Plus.
Google Album Archive can also include media from Blogger and Picasa Web Albums, old profile pictures, YouTube channel art, or automated backups.
Some of the images and videos in Google Album Archive are also available in Google Photos, Blogger, and Google Chat, but others exist only in Google Album Archive.
On July 19, 2023, Google will be eliminating Google Album Archive and deleting the files in it.
