Idents
Comedy Central Extra has had several logo and presentation updates over the years. The channel launched a new logo and presentation on January 9, 2019.
The channel's idents have been a key part of its branding, with various designs used throughout the years. In 2015, Comedy Central Extra adopted the same branding as its sister channel Comedy Central, withdrawing the previous idents featuring people dressed up in letters.
The channel's idents have also been used as cross-channel menus, with different soundtracks accompanying them. The new look introduced in 2011 was originally set to launch on both Comedy Central and Comedy Central Extra on July 1, 2011, but was delayed and only launched on Comedy Central Extra on July 14, 2011.

Comedy Central Extra adopted the same branding as its sister channel Comedy Central in 2015, withdrawing the previous idents featuring people dressed up in letters entirely.
However, this branding was later updated again in 2019 with a new logo and presentation.
The new idents launched on 14 July 2011, were originally set to launch on both Comedy Central and Comedy Central Extra on 1 July 2011, but were held back for an unknown reason.
The new idents were deliberately very different from what the channel had done in the past and from its competitive set, according to Comedy Central's marketing director Bill Griffin.
The channel's miscellaneous presentation was not updated to match the new idents, resulting in a different logo being used for the idents compared to promos, ECP, and DOG.
