Changing your email password in Thunderbird is a straightforward process that can be completed in just a few steps.

First, open Thunderbird and go to the "Tools" menu, then select "Options."

From the Options window, click on the "Account Settings" button.

Next, select the email account for which you want to change the password and click on the "Change" button next to the password field.

Update Email Password

To update your email password in Thunderbird, you'll need to access the passwords stored in the program. Select the Security icon and the Passwords tab, then click the Saved Passwords button.

You'll see a list of saved passwords, including the email account you want to update. Select the email account and then click the Remove button for both the incoming and outgoing email servers.

Close all Thunderbird dialogs and exit the program. When you run Thunderbird again, you'll be prompted to enter a new password for the account. Enter your new password and check the box to remember it, unless you need to enter it each time Thunderbird runs.

Alternatively, you can also access the saved passwords by clicking the "Password salvate..." button in the "Privacy e sicurezza" section. From there, you can click the "Mostra password" button to view the passwords in clear text, and then click the "Modifica password" option to update the password for your email account.

Change Email Password

To view saved passwords in Thunderbird, navigate to the Privacy and Security section and click on the "Password saved..." button. Confirm that you want to view the passwords by clicking "Yes."
