You can use Gmail to manage multiple email accounts, but it's not as straightforward as you might think. Gmail allows you to add up to 5 non-Gmail email accounts to your profile, which can be accessed from the Gmail interface.
This feature is called "Send mail as" and it allows you to send emails from a different email account while still accessing all your emails from one place. I've used this feature myself to manage my personal and work emails.
However, keep in mind that if you're using Gmail to manage multiple email accounts, you won't be able to use Gmail's advanced features like filters and labels on all your accounts. This is because Gmail's advanced features are account-specific, not profile-specific.
