Caiway's customer experience is centered around convenience and flexibility. They offer self-service portals and mobile apps that enable customers to manage their accounts and services on the go.

Objectives and Goals

Caiway aimed to expand geographically and attract more customers to increase revenue. This was a key objective for the company as it had new market possibilities open with the introduction of broadband and telephony services.

The company expected to use its new opportunities to increase revenue, which was a clear goal.

Challenges

Caiway's growth led to a complex system with separate billing systems and customer databases for each of its three main business lines.

This made it difficult for the company to manage data and access customer information, which had to be done manually.

Lack of automation and integration slowed down service delivery and didn't meet end-users' expectations, ultimately lowering the quality of services provided.

Having three isolated services in the system made it impossible for Caiway to offer service bundles.

This deprived the company of a competitive advantage that could have strengthened its market position.

Alles in One

Caiway's journey to becoming a leading service provider was made possible by implementing the MaxBill solution. This platform allowed the company to overcome existing issues and create new opportunities for growth.

The MaxBill solution included a centralized system that was applied to all of Caiway's services, streamlining customer management, product management, billing, and invoicing. This unified framework increased efficiency and made it easier to manage each service.

A single and standardized framework was created, which could be applied and modified to each service. This approach helped Caiway to manage its services more effectively.

The MaxBill solution allowed Caiway to create a centralized system that could be applied to all its services. This made it easier to manage customer inquiries and provide a better overall experience.

The name Caiway is no more, replaced by Delta. This change was a long time coming, as the company was already on its way to being absorbed into the larger DELTA Fiber Nederland.

Caiway was originally founded in 1981 as CAI Westland, a central antenna installation for seven Westland municipalities. It started offering kabelinternet in 1995, making it the first in the Netherlands to do so.

By 2017, the company had changed hands and was now owned by the Swedish investment fund EQT. EQT also owned DELTA, a Zeeuwse kabelexploitant, and decided to merge the two under one holding, DELTA Fiber Nederland, on August 1, 2018.

Caiway had around 200,000 customers at the time, mostly in the Westland, Twente, and Schiedam regions. The merger was finalized on January 1, 2020, with DELTA Fiber Nederland B.V. becoming the formal contract party.

The old CAIW entities were already deregistered with the Chamber of Commerce, and now the company is making the switch to the name Delta.
