Azure Reseller Models

There are two main models for reselling Azure services: 1-Tier CSP Partners and 2-Tier Resellers buying through CSP Distributors.

1-Tier CSP Partners have the option to bill their customers monthly for all usage incurred on reseller and customer subscriptions under their ownership.

Microsoft will bill the 1-Tier CSP Partner monthly for all usage incurred on reseller and customer subscriptions under their ownership.

If you're not currently authorized to transact Microsoft Azure Classic in SIE, you'll need to request access first.

Transitioning to Azure Plan is a one-way process, and once a tenant moves to Plan, they cannot revert to Classic.

You'll need to request the conversion through a formal ticket, which should include the subscription details and a request to enable Plan in the Partner Center.

The ticket should also specify the AOBO (Admin on Behalf Of) access at the resource level, as Microsoft requires this for Partner Earned Credit on Azure plan subscriptions.

Once the ticket is submitted, Tech Data operations will enable Plan, and the subscription will convert from Classic to Plan.

Confirmation of completion will be sent via the ticket.

Note that this conversion is permanent, and customers cannot revert to Azure Classic once they've converted to Plan.
