The full title is Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas, which should give you an idea of the tone of this stop-action animated musical/fantasy/horror/comedy. It is based on characters created by Burton, the former Disney animator best known as the director of Pee-wee's Big Adventure, Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands, and the first two Batman movies. His benignly scary-funny sensibility dominates the story of Halloweentown resident Jack Skellington (voice by Danny Elfman, who also wrote the songs), who stumbles on a bizarre and fascinating alternative universe called ... Christmastown! Directed by Henry Selick (who later made the delightful James and the Giant Peach), this PG-rated picture has a reassuringly light touch. As Roger Ebert noted in his review, "some of the Halloween creatures might be a tad scary for smaller children, but this is the kind of movie older kids will eat up; it has the kind of offbeat, subversive energy that tells them wonderful things are likely to happen." --Jim Emerson

Phenominal Movie
I got this for my wife whose favorite director is Tim Burton. I had to wait to get these on Blu Ray though and she waited patiently. She loves the movie and with it being on Blu Ray finally made it even better. She watches it on our PS3 system every so often and won't move till it is over. I highly recommend this and love the movie myself.
My take on this movie
The Nightmare Before Christmas is one of my most favored movies from Disney. I have seen it many times on TV but when i saw it on Blu-ray i knew i had to have it. The order time was estimated about a week and i recieved it in 5 days. The package consisted of a Blu-ray as well as a digital copy of the movie. On Blu-ray the movie was absolutley outstanding. The sound was crystal clear and graphics were beyond imagination. The digital copy also came in handy because I downloaded it to my ipod so I could enjoy this spectacular movie anywhere! Overal it was a great price for a great deal.
A favorite
Purchased this for my 23 year old daughter who watched this as a child. She had the VHS but somehow left it at college. I bought the DVD for her as a replacement, and she is so happy!

Probably one of the greatest animated movies
There are many animated films out there. Snow White, Little Mermaid, An American Tail, Shrek, just to name a few. But there is one animated film that will be in my heart forever: Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas.
The lovely film, directed by Henry Selick, tells the story of Jack Skellington the Pumpkin King. He has gotten bored with scaring people and wants to try something new in his life. That's where he discovers Christmas Town. He decides to let Santa "take it easy" and take over Christmas. But...I'm not going to tell you the rest in case there are some people who have never seen it before.
It's a maginificent film and it would be enjoyed by all.

The DVD I recived was in excellent condition and I am happy with the product I purchased. The only problem wa long it took for me to get the product. Other then that I got what I wanted. :)
