Great movie - stupid title!
Although the film's title makes perfect sense, when the film is viewed, it is nevertheless a most 'off-putting' title prior to viewing the film. The film, however, is excellent! A very well formulated story line is accentuated by superb acting - particularly by the main characters. Placing anything in order of merit is a mugs game - so much is variable. However, in my estimation 'Fried Green Tomatoes' comes in the top 10% of movies ever made in the English speaking world - to date. It is most enjoyable, if one likes fine acting and a rollicking good story.

Funny and entertaining
There is some questionable material but...over all it was entertaining. My wife enjoyed it more then I did. It was ok.

Wonderful Movie!
This movie is moving our happiness to wonderful and it is a great gift to give to a loving wife. Fried Green Tomatoes is the best and it makes me happy to give it to my loving wife so guys buy it and give it to a woman who you think is special and she would feel how special she is if she recieves this movie as a gift.

Heartwarming.
Fried Green Tomatoes starring Kathy Bates and Jessica Tandy is definitely a chick flick to say the least. I like this weepy drama but this film is a little too long and depressing. I do appreciate the great acting and friendship concept, watch this film with a best friend. Rent it sometime.

this is absolutely my favourite movie, of all time !! it has made me laugh, cry, and share in the triumphs and losses of the many delightful characters moving through the story. outstanding perfommances all around, wonderful story, marvelous plot. a movie to be treasured, and watched many, many times. if you've ever had a true friend, a must watch.
