Chinese-American Heritage
I've only seen the Chinese-American Heritage Tape. I checked it out of the library because my son's Kindergarten class was celebrating Chinese New Year. I thought that it was very well done, giving the kids an overview of Chinese Culture and then relating it back to Chinese Americans. The whole class liked it, so did their teacher and the parents who were there.
Vietnamese-American Heritage tape
We have only seen one of the 12 tapes in the series, but my 6 year old and I love it. Our son is adopted from Vietnam and is fascinated by the short takes on history, geography, culture, food, and language. This tape is quick moving, lively, kid-oriented, and colorful. He has been practicing some of the vocabulary words and counting words introduced. Our 3 year old (also Vietnamese) watches it, but is not as captivated by it.
