Prodcut Description: [More Information ...] 2010 solo album from Nick Jonas, one third of the Jonas Brothers and a huge musical phenomenon. With some downtime in 2009, Nick Jonas took the opportunity to form a side project called Nick Jonas & The Administration, which also includes drummer Michael Bland (Prince, Backstreet Boys, Boyz II Men, Rob Thomas), keyboardist Tommy Barbarella (Prince, Switchfoot, Jonny Lang), album-only guitarist David Ryan Harris (John Mayer, Santana) and bassist John Fields (producer of Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Demi Lovato, Pink) who also produced the CD. Fueling the album's 10 songs was Nick's long-held fascination with politics, especially politics at the top. Throughout, Nick places allusions to the trappings of the Presidency, from the White House Rose Garden to the symbolic olive branch and arrows clutched in the talons of the American eagle (fans will have fun spotting all the clues). But "Who I Am" is not a political album. Rather, through the idiom of Rock and Soul music, it's a survey of the ungovernable human heart.

Reviews:
Nick Jonas album "Who I Am" I really enjoy this album! I have a wonderful feeling I am going to wear it out and will have to buy another copy, which I own just the CD now but I am going back to the store and buying Nick's CD/DVD combo. When I first looked at the picture on the back of the album before I bought it and opened it up, I thought it was kind of funny his band was a lot older than he was and didn't realize who they were. Then I realized after I saw the names the musicians he is working with, I knew exactly who they were and three of the band members all performed with Prince in the past, that blew me away! I think this album is a all time 2010 hit! Nick Jonas This is a great CD! It is a little more edgy than a Jonas Brothers CD. And although it is still suitable for younger listeners, older listeners will find it very enjoyable. Nick, who is influenced by musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Prince, and Elvis Costello, has taken those influences and created songs with catchy music and meaningful lyrics that will stay in your head. Clearly this is not the end of Nick Jonas. He is a musician who, although young, shows that he has an enormous amount of talent. I would recommend this CD to anyone. Great CD. Wow this cd is great the lyrics are great. This has a completly different sound than the jonas brothers.I love it my favorite songs are Rose garden,Who i am,Tonight,Conspiricy theory,And stronger.i would reccomend this cd for people of all ages. cd A new turn For NICK JONAS. his style is becoming more free, and the acoustical feel of his music is emerging through drums, stronger vocals, and amazing guitar solos. This is his second solo album but his first since the Jonas Brothers rose to stardom. IT worth the buy if you like Stevie Wonder, Elvis Costello, Jonas Brothers, Hootie and the Blowfish, and John Mayer.ENJOY! Hybrid Is this kid serious? Jonny Lang and John Mayer are supposed to be 2 seperate artists. I really don't think 11 year old girls corner the daily deal market, so why don't we try to put some music in the deal spot from now on. What a joke! |
