Prodcut Description: [More Information ...]
A unique amalgam of styles, Eric Gales stands head and shoulders among other guitarists in his genre. "Crystal Vision" takes the next logical step in Eric's career, further establishing him as one of the rare musical talents of his generation. A guitarists' guitarist, Gales lays down some extremely impressive chops in a hard-edged progressive blues rock context.

Reviews:

Excellent album by an underappreciated artist.
I remember a friend turning me on to Eric Gales in the early 90's when he was in The Eric Gales Band and thinking that this guy was a great guitar player, but most of the originals he did kinda all sounded the same. (Though they did a cover of the Beatles' "I Want You" that was amazing). Then he came out with a solo disc around 2000 called "What I Am" and I was totally blown away. Every single song on there was excellent and different, plus the guitar work by Mr. Gales was phenominal. This album, far too long in coming, continues this journey and continues to show his growth as a musician. I gave it four stars because I still feel that "What I Am" was a better overall album, but this album is still a good listen.

E G Rocks
It seems Eric Gales has been around forever, but he is still a young man. This cd as with all the rest delivers the hard rockin blues. My favorite is the cover of Hush which was covered by Deep Purple back in their very early years. The whole cd is outstanding.

Let's be honest...
The song "Retribution" is literally worth the price of the album. Clapton could take a few tips from Eric Gales.

Good by anybody elses standards but...........
Not as good by "Eric Gales" standards. If you're new to Eric's music his previous CD "That's What I Am" puts this to shame. As well as his phenomenal work with his brother on the two "Eric Gales Band" CD's. The song writing is not as strong here. If you have all of Eric's work and are missing this one it's still worth getting. It just doesn't measure up to his previous stuff.

Eric Gales is a great guitar player...
but the song writing is no where near as great as on "That's What I Am"! The only songs that even come close are "CrystalVision" and That's how it is. Now, I'm no pro critic but "Thats What I Am" was one of the freshest things I had ever heard and seeing him "live" was even better(where's the tour dates)but "CrystalVision" was a little disappointing.
