I am very pleased with this product. Very light weight. Excellent bright colour that is seen by traffic! I can't believe I don't see more runners wearing them!

not cheap but totally worth it!
I have the 2006 version which just has different styling, but identical cut and material. 1. The actual color is more like a light fluorescent green, not the sick-looking yellow that usually appears in photos---either inaccurate photography, or inaccurate computer monitors at work. So it's more attractive than it appears. 2. It truly is VERY high visibility---especially in low-light conditions at daw or dusk, and on dark overcast days. I always run on the left side of the road against the traffic (as we all should, for safety reasons) and wearing Brooks Nightlife gear (I also own the vest which I wear on +45 degree days, and the cap as well) I notice that cars start steering away from my side of the road a lot further away. Very reassuring. 3. The material, despite its thinness and lightness, is actually quite warm. I can get away with a compression T-shirt and a long sleeve wicking shirt underneath this jacket for temperatures reaching down as low as the teens and twenties, as long as I have my head covered (the head being where you lose the most body heat) and wear gloves! I've worn running jackets made of heavier coarser materials which were not much warmer at all, and were less breathable however. 4. The material is also very quiet due to its amazing softness. What this means is if you swing your arms close to your sides, you won't hear any scraping sounds of the fabric rubbing together. Very cool. My only wish is if there were a small vertical chest pocket (which my New Balance jacket had) for keys, and/or a roomy rear pocket for things like gels, gloves, hats, etc. In any case, this seems to be one of the few nice-looking pieces of high-visibility running jackets on the market. Since I often run on narrow and twisting roads during low-light times of day, I see it as a form of medical and life insurance! Very cheap compared to the cost of getting hit by a car, assuming you live. As with all running gear, because the manufacturers are always putting out new model lines each year, you'll pay a lot less waiting for the season-end closeouts and buying older versions.
